You may retire your old flag yourself or send it to address to come.

The U.S. Flag Code (Title 4, U.S. Code, Chapter 1) says that when a flag is no longer fit for display—for example, when it’s worn, tattered, or faded—it should be retired in a dignified manner, preferably by burning. However, also being environmentally conscious we prefer to recycle the flag which is also allowed under the US Code. All flags are treated respectfully and we never throw them in the trash.

Yes, all flags last about one year and next year you will receive another US Flag to replace the one you currently have. We have found that in about a year, due to weather, the flags need to be replaced.
